Executive, Member Services
position is responsible for the recruitment of solid, upstanding
businesses into the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce membership
through effective prospecting and sales techniques. Primary
responsibilities include attaining monthly and annual sales
goals for revenue and number of new members; completing
all required administration – forecasts, member correspondence,
expense reports, etc. in a timely and accurate manner; maintaining
new members for the first two years of membership and representing
the Member Services department at all required business
functions and Chamber programs. Must have BA/BS with minimum
of two years successful sales experience or five years or
more of successful sales and customer service experience.
Must have excellent organization skills, excellent verbal
and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal
skills, disciplined work habits and a strong ability to
prioritize. Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
This position will be responsible for creating competitive
data grids comparing the service offerings and price points
for various membership organizations across the Bay Area and
nationwide (data to be gleaned from company web sites, phone
interviews and promotional materials), analyzing results,
preparing and presenting findings.
The successful candidate
will be dependable, have excellent written verbal
communication skills, be familiar with Excel and Word
software, be a self-starter with demonstrated time
management skills and exude professionalism.
This position will last
approximately one month and is non-paid.
